Paul R. Johnson is an American security risk management expert, known for building, transforming and leading organizations that provide industry-leading security capabilities for both the private and government sectors. Mr. Johnson has served as the Chief of Global Security for a Fortune 1000 multi-national company with demonstrated experience in developing and building enterprise business programs, executing business strategies, security risk management, business operations, threat mitigation, physical, cyber & IT risk mitigation, and crisis management strategies. A resourceful and strategic thinking business leader who mitigates risk with a data-driven mindset and pragmatic approach.
In 2020, Mr. Johnson formed David Casey Global, LLC to engage and support a small select group of companies and family offices that desire the flexibility of leveraging “on demand” the experience of the firm’s team and our collective reach back, without internally structuring a full-time Corporate Director of Security or a Chief Information Security Officer. David Casey Global helps clients manage their physical, cyber and logical risks as Security Advisors in areas such as Global Risk and Crisis Response Strategies, Information Security and Assurance, Executive Protection and Threat Management Operations, Emergency Preparedness, Corporate Investigations, Insider Threats, Due Diligence, Fraud Management, and Risk, Threat, and Vulnerability Assessments that are unique to your company’s or Family Office environment.
In 2014, Mr. Johnson joined Papa John’s International and served as the company’s first Chief of Global Security and Chief Information Security Officer where he led the global security program until 2020. He oversaw and coordinated global security efforts throughout Papa John's International and all its business units, including enterprise-wide security strategy and programs, cyber and physical security, global corporate investigations, executive protection, brand integrity, supply chain security, business intelligence and threat analysis. Papa John's International is the third largest pizza company in the world with over 5600 locations in over 49 countries and +120,000 employees.
Prior to joining Papa John’s International, Paul spent over two decades both as a Special Agent and a Senior Executive with the United States Secret Service. Mr. Johnson served in multiple investigative and protective assignments, working in 50 + countries, including over 6 years on the Presidential Protection Division. Finishing his career as the Special Agent in Charge of the Louisville Field Office covering Kentucky and southern Indiana after an extensive senior leadership role in overseeing both the Counterfeit Currency Section and the Cyber and Electronic Crimes Section of the Criminal Investigation Division in Washington DC.
Paul is a graduate of the United States Naval Postgraduate School and holds a Master of Arts degree in National Security Studies, with a focus on the study of: “Insider Threats to Organizations.”
